Software studio
A small studio for lasting software.
We design, build, and look after web products for a handful of teams at a time. Close collaboration, careful engineering, no theatre.
Taking a few projects through 2026
02 — What we take on
The shape of the work
We rarely publish client names. These are the engagements we actually accept.
- 01
Product platforms
Dashboards, customer portals, and the operational software that runs a company. We shape the product, then build the first durable version.
8–14 weeks
- 02
Marketing & brand sites
A public face that matches the work behind it. Fast, considered, and easy for a small team to keep current.
4–8 weeks
- 03
Rebuilds & rescue
Aging stacks, inherited code, and sites that grew sideways. We untangle, rewrite what matters, and leave something you can live with.
Scoped to the mess
03 — Capabilities
Design and engineering in the same room.
01
Product design
Interfaces, flows, and systems that feel inevitable once you use them. We start from the job to be done, not a mood board.
02
Web engineering
Next.js, TypeScript, and a modern stack written to be understood a year later. Performance, accessibility, and the unglamorous details included.
03
Brand on the web
Sites that carry a company’s voice without looking like a template. Identity, content structure, and the pages people actually land on.
04
Ongoing partnership
Retainers for teams who want a studio on call — not a revolving door of vendors. We stay after launch and keep the product honest.
04 — Approach
A short loop. Then we stay.
01
Listen
A conversation, then a short written brief. If we are not a fit, we say so before anyone writes a line of code.
02
Shape
We narrow the problem, agree on a first slice, and make the hard calls early — scope, stack, and what can wait.
03
Build
Work in the open. Regular demos, small pull requests, and software you can click, not a slide about software.
04
Care
Launch is a midpoint. We stay for performance, content, the third revision of the nav, and whatever the real users uncover.
05 — Studio
The people you meet are the people who do the work.
ST Studios is a small development shop. We keep the roster short on purpose: fewer handoffs, clearer opinions, and software that still makes sense after the launch week energy fades.
We typically decline large staff-aug requests, speculative token projects, and anything that needs a fifty-person team. If the work wants a close working relationship, we are interested.
Remote, async-friendly, and available in overlapping European hours.
06 — Contact
Tell us what you’re making.
A few sentences is enough: the product, the timeline, and whether you need a build, a rebuild, or a longer partnership. If it looks like a fit, we’ll reply within a few days — including when we are not the right studio.
